Such a beautiful tribute message. She deserves privacy and quiet to grieve but I'm thankful she released this.

This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.

I've read some pretty negative comments on ig when she posted it, maybe they're gone now

This was so sweet but difficult to read. I lost my grandma to Alzheimer's years ago and I remember so well how it felt being in a room with her and not managing to connect with her anymore at all. It was lovely to see how Tony seemed to be back when they were singing and they still managed to connect that way.

I scrolled down but didn't see anything negative. Maybe they were removed then.

Oh wow. That was powerful.

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

So heartbreaking. I can’t even imagine what she must be going through right now 🙁 Tony was SUCH a good person. Anyone could see it without knowing anything about him and knowing his influence on Gaga… an absolute angel.

Gaga, if you’re somehow reading this, thank you for sharing these words about you and Tony. So beautiful and wise. I will take this with me. I have people in my life getting to this point and I need to take you two as an inspiration to be better and care for my elders

A lot of comments were removed. When I first checked it (10 minutes after her posting) the comments were really nasty, talking about how he’s “using” Tony’s death for her own gain, and a lot of people calling her a pedophile for being a democrat. But now all those comments aren’t there, so they were definitely deleted.

Battle 4 Ur Life

That was so special to read. So heartfelt and sincere.

You can tell she’s been grieving him.

Rest In Peace, Tony.

Yes probably. There was one user saying "You're next", another claiming she faked the friendship and so on

I'm not crying, you're crying :bradley:

I expected nothing less from her. A beautiful, heartfelt message. Their friendship was truly special and something she will cherish forever

Having lost my grandmother to Alzheimer's last year, who I loved very dearly and was quite close to, I felt so grateful I could stay with her during her final years. Even though we knew the inevitable was gonna happen eventually, but I still couldn't handle the fact that she was no longer with us. I teared up reading this. 🥺

Please look after your elders, grandparents are a gift.

In fairness to a lot of young gays, they don’t really have elders or access to them. I mean, we’re nearly missing a generation. being young and queer today is a very interesting place bc we’re in a position to really shape what being an out adult can look like. Post-AIDS it was living in the shadow of that and trying to just enjoy life after that. It changes the rest of your life. For young people today without that specter looming SO strongly, they’re in a place to define on relatively equal playing field to non queer people what out adulthood can look like.

I know in my experience with older gay men, they tend to try living a high life be that in wealth, chasing young dudes, etc. I don’t hold it against them whatsoever, just saying it as point of fact. But you can’t help but wonder like…what would life be like if they hadn’t had all that mass death around their community so young? Or bc of it come out much older? I think that’s where young people can teach older queer people while older folks teach them a thing or two as well. Like Gaga and Tony here. What can both learn from one another while there are so few older queer folk around?
