people just throw the word hyperpop in anything, it has lost its meaning - although there never was one to begin with

I can't believe she didn't release All She Wants, it's really one of the best pop songs I heard in the last 5 years

Ugh I agree :(

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

Pretty much spot on. Alone is 5.5/10 for me tho and I don’t really care much for unholy. But other than that only 1000 pieces and bait are a skip for me.

very very happy with the album and I think it’s a great „starting“ point for her next projects.

Isn’t hyper pop a blur of bubblegum pop, dubstep, trap and video game sounds. Like it can be any alternative mixture of the sounds above.

Ive been listening to hyperpop for a couple years and Ive made a playlist on what I consider hyperpop sounds. If you have your spotify crossfade on to 12 seconds some songs should transition into each other well.

Current song obsessions on this list are

Concrete angels

Token

Dial Tone

Just Like We Never Said Goodbye

Im slowly updating the playlist over time. Warning…

Hyperpop is an acquired taste. It took me some time to appreciate the songs that im currently obsessed with. Its all about listening to these songs at the right time with the right 🌿😮💨💨🔥

Tbh I expected more. It’s just bland beats one after another. I love 2-3 songs at max

So pleasantly surprised how many bops are on this album!! Feed the Beast, King of Hearts, UhOh, Claws, Minute and Castle in the Sky are dance floor bangers. Also happy to see Revelations and HIFTB made the cut too, they were highlights from Problematique :vegas:

Get that fire exit door, I’m off...

I definitely like Problematique more as a cohesive project. I feel FtB is a little bit more all over the place and the aesthetic feels a little slapped on. But the bops are definitely there. Cirkut does his magic once again. Such bangers!!

I was worried this would be more a random complication of songs rather than any type of cohesive concept album . However if there’s bops, I’m happy!!! Still need to listen

Maybe it’s me but her vocals on FTB tracks sound almost demo-y but then you get Problematiqué tracks and it’s super polished, it doesn’t add up.

also the reviews saying the album is all over the place is correct, we don’t know the behind the scenes and she’s probably contracted to put coconuts in but, it’s sonically all over the place and just hope she is able to get a more cohesive body of work out next time!

I'm sorry Kim, I listened to it and it didn't connect at all. :kry:
