Marvel Offered Sue Storm Role To Margot Robbie For MCU's Fantastic 4 Movie

Just to be clear, in case you missed the tag, THIS IS JUST A RUMOR so far! 

 

 

In less than two years, they’ll return in the MCU’s Fantastic Four, marking their long-awaited debut in the franchise. The movie will be directed by WandaVision’s Matt Shakman, with War of the Worlds and Avatar scribe Josh Friedman penning the script.

The project has also played host to perhaps the most intense casting speculation there’s ever been for a comic book adaptation, with wild rumors and reports circulating almost every week. However, a massive name has suddenly been attached to the film: Margot Robbie.

According to scooper Daniel Richtman, Margot Robbie has reportedly been offered the role of Sue Storm, aka the Invisible Woman, in the Fantastic Four movie.

This would be Robbie’s second major comic book role, coming after she played Harley Quinn in the DCEU.

As for Reed Richards, aka Mr Fantastic, Adam Driver is the latest frontrunner, while Paul Mescal was reportedly offered the role of Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch.

Fantastic Four is due to hit cinemas on February 14, 2025.

If this is real and she accepted and casted, she might have to let go of her Harley Quinn role at DC, since it will be confusing to locals lmao

I'm kind of wondering how this project will turn out....like it's possible it's just random names being thrown about due to vague rumors...but it also sounds like a lot of people are passing on this film to the point I'm surprised big A list names are still in contention.

So far all the rumors regarding Reed and Sue's casting are people either in talks or are on the shortlist for the role. None of them have reportedly passed, to my knowledge, except for Paul Mescal who some people thought was going to play Johnny Storm.

I've been keeping track of all the F4 rumors and stuff and honestly, I've liked pretty much every rumored actor/actress they've talked about. I like Margot and I think she's a great actress, so I'd be open to her being Sue. It'd definitely be interesting to see how that affects her role as Harley Quinn though. I imagine she'd pass on it since James Gunn is still probably going to use the Harley character in the DCU.

Out of all the rumors though, I'm the most excited/intrigued about Adam Driver playing Reed. I've seen a lot of people hate that choice, mainly because they don't think he looks anything like Reed, but he's an amazing actor and can definitely play up the more cold & calculating side of Reed. I'd love for him to be in the movie tbh.

No. I think a safe bet is Comic-Con, though there's been so many rumors over the past couple of weeks that I don't know if they can afford to wait that long.
