Big enough to have Christian pastors and priests pressed talking about her every Sunday at church. One of her best achievements ever.

Something something idk

She was actually realllly tiny, like stick thin. I remember seeing her live at the bTWball and being shocked at how in pictures she looked slim, but irl she was extremely thin, and also very short! Hope that answers it for you x

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

She was HUGE. Gaga was EVERYWHERE and slaying everything. She also had so much mystique around her which gave in to the GP and Medias intriguement and deep interest in her!

An all-consuming pop culture phenomenon that permeated every inch of the zeitgeist

the thrill of "what will she do next?" was genius marketing, spectacle, innovation wrapped into one. I think what set her apart so much was this sense of having EVERYBODY, whether you liked her or not, waiting on the edge of their seat in anticipation of what her next performance or video might be, of "just how bonkers can this get?" her combo of unique avant-garde fashion, infectious bangers, and high-octane performances made her exhilarating to experience, in a way only a tiny handful of artists ever are

but, honestly, I think the most impressive thing she's done in her career is to last. her first peak burned bright and intensely, but it fizzled out by ARTPOP, just over 5 years into her career. She very well could have faded out of the spotlight – someone who for sure would be remembered, but not in any decade-defining way. That she was able to drop the original alter ego that made her famous and have a second peak with ASIB and still be around 15 years later is incredible. No other major artist in the last 20 years has so successfully rebranded while actually expanding her fanbase

She was bigger than Taylor Swift in literally any one of her eras. It was a true, rare imperial phase.

After the 2010 VMAs at school everybody was talking about the meat dress and whether it was fashion, ethical etc. Even the teachers were encouraging healthy discussion rather than saying shut up and get on with your work

I went to three different schools during that time period and I had teachers in each of them encouraging us to talk about Gaga (and in academic manner of course).

Probably the biggest peak in the history of the music industry possibly even the entertainment industry. It almost sounds delusional saying it now but like she was literally UNAVOIDABLE - every single person in the world became aware of her basically overnight…

Because of BTW and ARTPOP backlash I think many people forget just how impactful she was. You had to relive it to know.

There definitely was a "playing with fire" feeling back then when you came out as a Gaga fan. You didn't quite know what she was going to do, but you knew you trusted her and that people could say what they wanted, but her music SMACKED and you knew the only people taking it too seriously were people who you didn't want to mess with anyway. There was a positivity, but with that dark subtext that was just undeniable and seductive. She also provided confidence to a bunch of people I think. More risky apparel became more common after her Fame, Fame Monster era. What an amazing time to be opening yourself to the world.

Thanks for sending me down memory lane.. 👍🏼

She was the biggest popstar during my childhood so she shaped up my expectations for what a pop star should be and no one after her has reached that level since.
