The entire premise of modern conservativism is authoritarianism justified via endless culture wars and it honestly borders on gaslighting for you to act otherwise. Unless the GOP breaks from the authoritarian, paranoid conspiracist right, they will be an illegitimate and morally bankrupt political movement in my eyes.
