I don’t even think she needed it in the first place honestly. She needed guidance and therapy, not to be locked in a cage. People in her position and the scrutiny honestly could’ve taken their life, hell I would’ve. She was stronger than many. Her outbreak was something I understood even then.

I think so. 

At very least, even she didn't need it, they COULD have made the argument they BELIEVED she did and they worked in her best interest and worked to get her out of it as fast as they could.

I'd say, at first, she definitely needed someone taking over her affairs. The problem is the people that did it did so with the worst intentions and rather than keeping her professional life stable while she recovered, they treated her like a cash cow and invaded every aspect of her life, down to her reproductive freedoms.
