Why is Selena Gomez so underrated?

Her music can be a bit hit or miss with me.  Songs like Love You Like A Love Song and Hands To Myself are really good.

Love her acting though.  I couldn’t get enough of her in Only Murders in the Building.

She’s incredibly average as a singer. She does easy songs that anyone could do.

She’s not a very good singer or musical performer. Don’t get me wrong she has lots of fun bops. But on many tracks her voice sounds so manipulated and warped, or she’s just whispering. I think she should stick to acting.

I wouldn't say she is overated as a musician cause all the fame and money she has made is because of her beauty and her shows. She is great in those, but as a singer I think she is quite bland and simply average

been a Selenator for 13 years and it's been fun tbh.

She's had a great musical journey and there's always something new to look forward to and her near flawless track record keeps my expectations pretty high.

I love Selena. I do agree that she is underrated. She has a nice voice but could be AMAZING with a vocal coach and more practice performing live if that’s what she wants (and what her health would allow).

She’s definitely taken a step out of the limelight of the music industry but it seems intentional. I’m glad she is acting more too bc she seems to really enjoy it. 

Rare is one of my favorite albums. Girl knows how to put out a bop
