For some people it’s very much a relationship strengthener! There’s definitely more to it than procreation, lots of psychology going on. But I’m sure your experience is very different too

To be fair I have similar thoughts sometimes. I mean if you think about it, it’s putting your genitals against each other’s. Very weird.

From that perspective, yes but sex is all about power and how we express dominance and submission. I think it’s quite of a primal human thing to communicate our relationship with power through sex

I think the pleasure is there to stimulate the individuals to procreate. At the end of the day, it’s all about taking the genes onto the next generation and animals should feel stimulated to do so.
