Climate activists glue themselves to frames of two Goya paintings in Madrid

Ugh, annoying af. There is a group in Berlin that glues themselves to the streets for a couple of months now and managed to actually kill a woman earlier this week. She had an accident but the ambulance wasn’t able to reach her in time due to „activists“, the woman died 3 days later in the hospital.

In a perfect world maybe but in the real world I doubt that. Getting it talked about doesn't automatically mean it's spouring positive change

 

Ppl already pro climate already are regardless. Ppl that are more indifferent will just get more ticked off if they are paying attention to this kind of thing by making activists seem extremist and louco

These activists seem delusional to be honest, social media has turned people into narcissists who think they're martyrs with these stunts. So killed her indirectly by making streets crowded and making ambulance slow is that what u mean?

 

To be fair a big concert night can have the same unfortunate impact.

You gotta know how to play the media though. At least in my country there is a press agreement not to extensively report about suicide. I don't know about the US but I imagine this extreme case could trigger the same reluctance.

These people seem to care more about being on people's social feeds rather than doing something worthwhile, everyone knows the planet is dying what's the point of this, it's the massive companies that need to do something not the GP who just want to have a nice day out at the museum

Yes. It really is that simple of an answer... I mean it's historic art that's a part of their culture. I'm not saying it has to be a thing forever, until this fad dies down. It takes like 30 seconds at most I don't get this devils advocate pov you're doing.
