But in the end, she got the last laugh (and us, by making the right decision to stan, specially if you were a fan during those years, it was tough). The montag quote was just buzz... He can't believe it himself. 😂 Yeah it was trendy to trash her and Bieber back then... Honestly yeah I remember my uni friends cackling when I was saying I went to the Born this way ball for ex. Pure snobbism since later on they made them guilty pleasure to finally admit they're actually talented etc. 😏
rinasawachanta 3,032
It is very shocking how many of them (M.I.A, Grace Jones, Christina Aguilera...) accused Gaga of plagiarizing them lmao, when those statements do nothing more than make explicit the absolute and total DESIRE of those people to have Gaga's talent or style. As if they were saying "this girl has everything I want, I'm going to say she plagiarizes me to generate the illusion that what I do has something to do with what she does". On the other hand, I am surprised by the absolute blindness of artists like Tori Amos who were unable to see the enormous potential of Gaga and the immense revolution that her arrival meant. It is striking that hundreds of thousands of people have been able to detect that in time and not people who are dedicated to the world of music and "art"... I would like to know what they think today.
pinknailsemoji 194
well it's true what they say... people typically insult others about things they are most insecure about themselves no king, or court!

I would like to know what they think today. I'd like to think that their opinion of her has changed because if it hadn't, they'd still be trash talking her to this day. Because when someone you hate is getting more and more successful and beloved, you'd want to keep telling people that they're not all that, right? But all these people have stopped talking about her and we've not heard any updated views. That tells me that she's done something that has genuinely blown them away to the point where they realise how wrong they were before. And they actually feel quite embarrassed about how they talked down to her previously, acting like they could do that because they thought she'd be a flash in the pan and therefore didn't deserve respect. Naturally, they just want to pretend their past comments never happened so they don't have to awkwardly backtrack and if they're quiet about it, everyone will forget they ever said it. But the fans have long memories and make sure they have the receipts ready.
Tyler1992 2,264
Of course not… But after she blew smoke in the Chainsmokers face I wouldn’t cross her. I think Gaga is the type of artist that has earned respect and good will over time. She gives respect, and reaps what she sows. Majority of the entertainment industry on her side, and when artists say things about her it will inevitably backfire. It’s usually shade thrown by the most insecure artists. Madonna is cool with Gaga since years. For others as you said they just don't mention gaga anymore so they realized they looked like jerks indeed. People feel threatened by her. Even Madonna getting shady back then screamed screamed insecure imo.
