Azerbaijan shelling Armenia

It seems that the Azeri army has started shelling some Armenian towns close to their border minutes after midnight local time. This seems worse than the war disputed by both countries two years ago, when the main Azeri target was the disputed territory of Artsakh as this time the land that's being attacked it's purely Armenian territory. Russia intervened last time being Armenia's ally, but this time seems unlikely as they are focused on Ukraine.

Concerning.. Legally Russia needs to intervene to protect Armenia (and Turkey to protect Azerbaijan).

Also I feel bad for the Armenians. What a sad situation to be in if your only potential ally is Russia.

Yeah, I guess Azerbaijani authorities saw Russia's weakness in Ukraine so took their chance without even thinking a lot about it. I guess the EU and the US won't even try to help in here

Although my home country has a very complicated relationship with Armenia, I feel for them, they only rlly have Russia to turn to because Turkey could easily overpower them, and at the end of the day Russia is also gonna end up  f*cking them over like they've done to every country they've gotten involved with.

War is a horrible thing, and I love the Caucasus, I hope it ends peacefully soon.
