Cameltoe Chariot 14,561 Posted August 25, 2022 Share Posted August 25, 2022 The rumour for awhile now is that season 3 is going to jump several years ahead post-high school - Kat could've easily moved away for college or drifted away from the group by then. Life happens. Barbie was obviously a favourite of Sam's when he wrote the first season, and he apparently had a pretty wild plot for her in season 2 that she really pushed back against to the point of on-set screaming matches - this is where the feud rumours come from. He then rewrote her story for the season, and pivoted to Sydney Sweeney and Maude Apatow's characters instead. Maybe if she had just trusted the creator she would've been nominated for an Emmy this year. It's easy to assume she was the victim in this situation but both Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya have done nothing but sing praises for the show's creator and have highlighted how he works around their comfort levels.
