I mean, he is right in the way he is from a time of such legendary music that defined the industry and built what it is today. 
 

The weekend is rehashing other people music, which is fine, and drake is meh as all hell. 
 

The issue is the self entitlement to say that. Let other people say that about you. It’s the same attitude that’s put a shadow of Madonna’s career over the last 15 years. Just keep doing what you have always done and that will define your legacy. 

The reason that the weekend gets more attention is because he’s more mainstream right now, that’s not an impact on Rogers legacy.

I think the statement is taken out of context somewhat, he said it because the interviewer made a point of saying the weeknd’s gig had more attention that his which is frankly irrelevant. Anyway, Pink Floyd are one of them most influential bands of all time he is technically correct either way.
