I love the beat, I appreciate the change in the sound. But the chorus my god, with her constant riffs and runs it’s like you won’t break my soul you won’t break my sOoOoOoOul and i just want it to stop. STOP. It sounds super super annoying you just want it to stop :laughga: Chorus is so bad, there’s a huge issue with choruses these days. As much as I appreciate wanting to do something different from the rest, 90s house music had melodies that stayed in your head and just made u wanna dance soooooo badly. There’s a shortage now in melodies. This to me I just wanna turn it off, insanely irritating. Sorry just my opinion I wanted to love it but this is so mediocre.

I didn't read the comments yet so I don't how many of you have the same thoughts as mine but I don't like it. I mean, it's good house song but a little flat and repetitive. House music is known for being repetitive, but that's when I thought that she can bring something new and change the pattern (that would have been awsome). It's a sample (of two songs if I read correctly but I only recognize Show me love - sorry for my ignorance) and the lyrics are repetitive, she did this track in 5 minutes? lmao

I'm sure people will love it, radio will eat it up and the video will be so amazing that it will push the song even further.

Why does it always happen that one group of you always drags Gaga into discussion and then another group comes to be hypercritical of what Gaga did to attack the first group. This whole cycle is so irritating.

There has been a reemergence of house and disco since 2019. Beyoncé doing house doesn't take away from her credibility.

And to those saying Gaga doesn't go all out in her albums (not going full on country in Joanne, not going deep house in Chromatica), Gaga's vision mostly lies in mixing the genres and creating a third sound (as she did with Sour Candy most evidently). She loves being on intersections of sound.

OT: I love this song.

Well reading some comments was a journey lmao but I want to stop by quoting yours.

I swear I NEVER FOR A SECOND thought about Chromatica, like how?  And to return to your comment that's what I was saying: I thought she was going to mix house music with some new elements and being innovative, just like Gaga does as you said perfectly.

But I really don't see the Chromatica comparisons, sorry.

The first minute was so painful to listen to... the outro sounded stressful and the rest felt flat for me :noparty:

Maybe it'll grow on me... but I doubt it.

ive listened to it 10 times and im underwhelmed i used to be a bey stan

ive seen her live

but i miss the authentic, r&b - songs where she used every part of her voice and did runs that most ppl couldnt replicate.

this sounds like a filler song. - the house beat is fine i wish she wouldve gone up higher in her range towards the end.

It’s fun and I love the way she fades her words, but it’s not my favourite lead single from her. Mainly because the mixing seems a bit flat to me and the use of both samples gets a bit repetitive at some point, wish the harmonies were more prominent all over the track and the chorus was more dynamic to counteract that.

Super exciting that the dance diva is experimenting with this sound though. I can only imagine the performances and music videos.
