Teletubby 159,607
Grammy-nominated international superstar Adam Lambert is set to release his sixth full-length studio album, Adam, on Friday, July 10th via his own label, distributed via The Orchard. Featuring artwork by renowned fashion photographer Nick Knight and executive produced by Pete Nappi (Jon Bellion, Jon Batiste, Jonas Brothers, Rihanna, Pharrell Williams), the self-titled album features 12 diverse new songs and marks a fully realized exploration into all facets of Lambert’s humanity and otherworldly artistry. Largely inspired by the 90s alternative and electronica, Adam expertly blends multiple genres to create something timeless. The first taste of the album arrives today with the release of “Eat U Alive,” introducing listeners to the dark industrial texture that will come to define much of the album. Featuring an infectious, high-energy chorus and dripping with insatiable primal desire, the new track shines a spotlight on Lambert’s powerhouse vocal abilities and is available to stream now. “‘Eat U Alive’ is the perfect primer into my next musical chapter,” says Lambert. “I wanted to create songs that fit into a world reminiscent of the music that made a formative impact on me in the 90s and early 00’s. Nine Inch Nails, Björk, Prince, Muse, Goldfrapp, Daft Punk, George Michael, Massive Attack and the Crystal Method are just a few who inspired the sound. The album explores both the light and shade of life and the razor’s edge that separates a positive experience from a negative one. I hope these songs connect with anyone who has been through the confusing but necessary process of self-acceptance. There was a real liberation in acknowledging my own weaknesses and strengths. Accepting the bad and the good altogether. Revolutionary for someone who always thought of himself as a perfectionist and an idealist.” x No One Cares About You 1

Ladle Ghoulash 43,211
He’s so talented, but his work has just never really clicked with me. I feel like he doesn’t have a super clear sense of the kind of music he wants to make nor a strong editorial view of how he wants to cultivate his image, so he always ends up making **** that’s just wildly inconsistent. When I look at his first record, for example, I think some of the folks they got on board made perfect sense: Justin Hawkins from The Darkness, Matthew Bellamy from Muse, Gaga, Linda Perry…but then they kind of muddied the waters by introducing a lot of middle of the road conventional pop songwriters (Max Martin, Shellback, Tedder) giving him leftovers from P!NK and Britney dupes, which both neither showcase his talent, establish his brand or sound, nor are even particularly good. I think if they had leaned more into doing theatrical glam pop/rock (maybe enlist Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters, MIKA, Brandon Flowers of The Killers) or just narrowed down the collaborators to a handful with a shared vision, the record would’ve been a stronger start to his career. Lucas 30,110
Will listen I guess, the preview of this song sounds nice. I absolutely love For Your Entertainment and The Original High, but for some reason I could't give a damn about the 2 albums he released after I don't think I listened to a single song from these
Anderson123 41,680
One of the most underrated pop boys, he deserved to have many more hits but sadly hasn’t really worked with the right people all the time. For Your Entertainment is one of my favorites and a no skips album but it was mostly songs written by others pitched to him. This looks really good and hope it’s different to the Lube or whatever random singles he dropped last year. That cover is a SERVE omg. I need it on vinyl. Hadrian 1,671
I love his voice, but "diverse new songs that blend multiple genres" just sounds like a preemptive defense against accusations of ai-use to me for some reason.
