... :partysick: Sometimes I forget that Haus Labs is the same company which gave us the iconic Fame perfume, and associated promo campaign. The Lady Gaga branding with Fame was so on-point that it felt natural, like an album era.

I'll be looking forward to LG7. Little Cosmeticers enjoy yourselves!

It's not really about eco friendly gimmick, sure they are vegan and cruelty-free, but it's more about the clean products that are actually good for skin.

It’s 100% all a marketing gimmick, imo.  And they chose the wrong one.

The absolute lack of identity is so sad to me. I’ve been in branding + art direction for years now and this feels like what you come up with when you didn’t understand your client at all :cyanlights:

I wonder if it's because they want to market as "makeup for everyone", so they want it to be plain enough not to gear towards any demographic in particular :oprah: do brands do that?

This lack of balance bleeds out to the voice of the brand too. A phrase on the website reads “we’re not serving looks, we’re serving self love”… like ok but that’s almost pretentious. We WANT to serve looks cause that’s the fun of makeup and Lady Gaga. The self love message becomes lame.

We're not ONLY serving looks, we're serving self love.

There you go Haus Labs, you're welcome. :lmao: It's as simple as that.

It feels very safe. I feel like Gaga’s brand since the beginning has been about pushing boundaries and expressing yourself, musically and visually, and I don’t know if this connects with that. This really could be anyones brand at this point. I do appreciate them trying to include more color into the products though.

I dont mind minimalistic branding etc...but I'm sorry. Haus Labs lacks any heart and soul to it imo. It feels like they are sort of all over the place scrambling...even the relaunch is objectively "bad" (in my opinion). I'm sure it will sell well and stuff but they seem so out of execution with this brand. Fenty and Rare Beauty have solid branding and there is something that stands to them (despite Rare Beauty being a simple beauty brand)...Haus Labs is lacking in identity which is insane when you think that Gaga is the owner and face of this brand...

Looks really nice tbh, still nothing too crazy but I guess something you would buy in Sephora :vegas:

this packaging is neither interesting nor classic, and the brand name can hardly be read on it

Not that I use makeup or really care about it, but I actually liked the style of the original packaging.. looked more unique I guess

i am living for it

but where r the worthy items? this type of products are so cheap to produce they could easily buy them off china and just label them.

they needs bases, primers, sprays, face powders

this is the same problem r.e.m beauty is having, is so easy to come up with a few eye shadows and bronzers, the real challenge is to come up with the game changers like RARE, fenty and many others

i guess that will come with time?

It's been 2 years, if it hasn't come by now I don't think they'll do any game changing stuff.

omg, the way the dark brown blends with the lady from the right:nooo:

this is not funny guys. it's cuz it's super rare for makeup brands to do makeup that blends in dark skinned people

The packaging is very generic and boring. 2 things I would never associate with gaga. The actual product seem cool and I hope they're good
