You wanna be mad about cults? As far as I know Scientology's worst crime is embezzling money from people who can afford to lose it. There are worse groups out there.

I'm not thrilled about her working with Cruise either but meh. It's not something I'm even remotely actually upset about.

I'm just happy that she gets recognition and gets to work on high-profile projects like that but personally, I have zero interest in the movie. I wasn't even a fan of the first one. I saw it when I was younger, like most kids my age, but I didn't care much for it. It's just not my thing. And the song is not my thing either.

she also just worked jared leto who has faced lots of wild controversies. and before that she worked with dave chapelle who now is considered by many to be a huge transphobe. it is a bit weird to me that she is in something that is a bit of propaganda (even if it is apparently less so than the first movie), but at the end of the day, she is scoring what will likely be the most successful movie of the year. if people on this site found out she had been offered that but declined just bc tom cruise is a weirdo or something like that, they would be furious

shallow did not blow up fr and hit #1 until AFTER the oscar's, which was what like 6 months after its release? HMH could very well be gaga's biggest song ever -- we won't know anything until people start seeing the movie

i'm genuinely confused?? the song has more streams than shallow had going into ASIB's release ?? and it's #3 on her spotify. like i genuinely don't get what you're saying lol. literally every article about the song mentions a potential oscar nom and the song is about to be exposed to hundreds of millions of people in just one week's time. most people don't know it exists yet. my sister has seen gaga live 3 times and texted me last night after just now seeing the song for the first time on spotify. you're saying the song that is a theme song for a movie is a flop before the movie is even out yet  

it'll get tons of streams just from locals leaving the theater and being like "what was that song at the end" and then going to look for it

Its just a movie, watched the first one a couple weeks ago, and its just an entertaining popcorn film.
