But it remains unclear to what extend mutual military support in EU is actually binding. The Germanic/Anglo-Saxon word united. Are these actual treaties/ statements though? I am unfamiliar with them. Also Iceland doesn't basically even have an army. Furthermore, the constitution of Iceland has no mechanism to declare war. Iceland is traditionally not bothered by military threats, kind of similar to Switzerland.
