I love how she always gives "hints" of what's to come only for things to be the complete opposite. That was a look she used before she announced Born This Way. The platinum hair and that naked photoshoot made it seem like the cover would be this ethereal thing. She completely surprised us with the Gagacyle lol I mean I love that she's not predictable.

Gaga is known globally for her silver long hair, its iconic. She even used it during the game-changing Sound of Music Oscar performance.

I knew it was gonna be about this look when I saw the title.

It was actually during the Alejandro-era during April and May.
May 2010 especially was the highlight during this look (she went back to it briefly in September, most notably for the Yoko Ono performance).
 

It was at this time that she wrote and recorded Scheiße, after her night at Laboratory Club at Berghain in Berlin. But it was more that just Berlin, as she was clubbing throughout Europe during this month after some Monster Ball shows.

She basically wore nothing but her Noritaka Tatehana heelless platform boots, fishnets, grey wig, lace underwear or the catsuit and most notably her Hussein Chalayan leather jacket (which she also wore in her Vogue shoot at the time) (she also took it out again recently). She added in and changed some details every now and then but mostly sticked to that base.

She wore it during the Alejandro video rehearsals and it was rumored that she wanted this to be the look for the video.

The hair changed as she wore a more platinum version in late April/early May in New York City (to watch the Marina performance art piece from the 70s at MoMa, which she spoke about in the ShowStudio interview, if I remember it correctly) and in Stockholm.

It then slowly evolved into the grey hair and leather look that we all love.

It ended in late May 2010 as she decided to ditch the wig and go for the more classic Marilyn/90’s Madonna short blonde curls and red lipstick look, as seen in the ShowStudio interview.
