noooo, every other album is way better lyrically than Chromatica which has very basic lyrics and ideas imo (it's not bad at all, but still).

BTW has best lyrics and themes followed by TFM to me. agree with @Cello - The Fame is very smart, she played a lot with her wording and ideas there, which is fun and refreshing. like i'm sorry, but nothing ever will top "let's have some fun this beat is sick i wanna take a ride on your disco stick" :bradley:

also, let's not ignore ARTPOP: G.U.Y., Dope, MJH, Fashion! have amazing lyrics, you can't deny that.

AND

Telephone is one of her best songs lyrically, i said what i said!

Chromatica strengths are the production, sonic cohesiveness and the fact it feels big, like an opera

lyrically BTW is her strongest

Chromatica as we know had huge potential for more visuals - we are getting a tour thank the lord

On Chromatica, I feel like it’s intentional for the lyrics and metaphors being not too complex as she was trying to bring this complex world and concept of escapism to the mainstream

Chromatica lyrics are very cohesive but kinda basic like “this is what it is”. I think Born This Way has some of her best lyrics. I mean BLOODY MARY alone is a masterpiece! The Fame and TFM have smart lyrics too. You guys are really underestimating TF once again! The themes might not be amazing but the lyrics are

Chromatica has some of her worst (SL, PD), but also by far some of her most poetic and mature IMO (911, Enigma, SFA). It's definitely up there I think.

But BTW and ARTPOP were more creative and fun with their lyrics I guess. Judas bridge kinda devours everything lol.

Lyrically: not when lines like these exist:

"I'm on the edge of something final we call life tonight, put on your shades 'cause I'll be dancing in the flames tonight, it isn't hell if everybody knows my name tonight"

"We are not just art for Michaelangelo to carve, he could not rewrite the agro of my furied heart"

"A hybrid can withstand these things, my heart can beat with bricks and strings, my ARTPOP could mean anything"

"When I'm on a mission, I rebuke my condition, fi you're a strong female you don't need permission"

"I'm gonna marry the night, I won't give up on my life, I'm a warrior queen, live passionately tonight. I'm gonna marry the dark, gonna make love to the stark, I'm a soldier to my own emptiness, I'm a winner"

Visually: absolutely top tier if she had the ability to have a full era!

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

What I think is factually her best:

Lyrically: Joanne

Vocally: Born This Way

Visually: TF

Overall: TFM

My personal Opinion:

Lyrically: ARTPOP

Vocally: Joanne

Visually: Chromatica

Overall: TFM

Not gonna consider ASIB, doesn’t feel right.

Lyrically — the fame monster

- all of bad romance.
- speechless: “Some men they follow me but you choose death and company” favorite Gaga line of all time

-“ run run her kiss is a vampire grin the moon lights her way while she’s howling at him” all of DITD is stellar and creates powerful imagery

- my religion is you…

- I’m a free bitch baby

- he ate my heart

- the iconery all throughout , this albums lyrics create the strongest images in the listeners mind and each song feels like a story

vocally — born this way

- looking at teog, you and I, highway unicorn, the queen, marry the night , etc   Perfect pop vocals, no over singing, etc

visually — the fame monster

- again, the imagery, the consistency, the high fashion, the uniquery and iconery is unparallelled

overall — the fame monster

- I mean, facts  best tour, best bops, huge step up from TF and somehow outdid that iconic era, just an incredible experience and time to have witnessed gaga

sorry bout it , forever a slag for golden age gaga

1) lyrically? I would have to pick Joanne. I think her very best is when she uses imagery in lyrics and she does that in BTW and TFM, but overall I'd say Joanne, the lyrics were more down-to-earth but better written than in her other albums.

2) vocally? C2C or Joanne, unlike a lot of people I love her raspy voice.

3) visually? ARTPOP

4) overall? Born this Way

You popped my heart seams, all my bubble dreams

dope is a masterpiece and that's a fact.

i mean, opening lines always kill me:

Cork's off, it's on, The party's just begun
I promise, This drink is my last one
I know I fucked up again
Because I lost my only friend
God forgive my sins
Don't leave me, I
Oh I will hate myself until I die

It's honestly one of her most beautiful songs in her whole discography. I HATE that the fans trash it so much. All  because they're bitter and petty that IWBWU was replaced, they can't see the beauty right in front of them. In my opinion IWBWU is not even in the same league as Dope

omg absolutely! IWBWU is so cheesy, while Dope is honest and dark... idk i always thought that Dope is superior!

and yes Dope is definitely one of her best songs ever imo.
