It was either on MadonnaNation or Madonna Infinity that we were asked to list our 100 favorite Madonna songs. After a few minutes I complained that it was an impossible task because to limit it to 100 you would have to omit some iconic songs that should never be omitted. I remember having to ask if I could edit my list after I submitted it because I forgot Masterpiece. Yikes, how could anyone forget Masterpiece? 4 is impossible, 40 is impossible, and 100 is impossible, for such a legend. I live outside the space time continuum. I kid you not, I was using a bias sorter website to sift through all my Madonna 10/10s to try to work out accurately what my top 4 are – and I could feel an anxiety attack coming on. Do I prefer Open Your Heart or Skin? Get Together or God Control? Live To Tell or Like A Prayer? How is any living, breathing, thinking person supposed to answer these questions?! The blatant HOMOPHOBIA of making me choose between Bedtime Story and Medellín So I had to close the tab. Some questions aren't meant to be answered! This woman has discography for days.
