Can this 80s thing hurry up and die already. We've been overloaded with it since like 2016, but these past couple of years it's been unbearable.

I usually like seeing trends in pop music, it feels like it's defining a period in time. But this trend is just SO uninspired and stale, I hate it.

I AM MAYHEM

Last thing she said was that the song was coming at the end of March... Yet she hasn't even announced the single. I'm getting bored with her honestly, it is so obvious at this point that her label is really trying to make her have a hit.. they are waiting for 'the motto' to fade and then release the song. At this point, the hype is dying :green:

I love 80s music, but I'm tired of these artists trying to recreate something that already happened instead of creating new amazing stuff in 2022.

The 80s were great, but there are way many new tools to experiment with to create a new legacy.

Personally I disagree. Even if you don't like it, trap is a new genre that didn't exist before. People in the future will hear it and think "that sounds like the 2010s".

All these 80s rehashes recently, they're just directly taking the sounds from that time and not even adding a modern twist to it. It's so unbelievably boring.

I don't mind the '80's trend', as long as it's a new interpretation. That 80's/disco sound that so many artists are looking to nowadays is vast and deep. The problem seems to be that everyone's putting out the same basic synth-y track; everyone wants their Blinding Lights or Levitating.
