You know, people sh*t on her self-titled but I loved it the second I heard "Genesis" and I stanned her hard from the jump. Idk why people aren't into it, literally almost every single song is great

Ugh IKR? I love it as well but I guess people dislike it because it doesn’t really have a concept? It’s just a collection of bops and that may seem kinda strange for people who are used to albums that are more cohesive.

I guess, I just love her raspy, syrupy vocals and such command in her breath. She worked with some great producers too because although the songs may not be cohesive, they fully immerse you in the world and emotions she wanted to create.

Be The One is my jam off the debut album. You know damn well that when she performs it at the tour like 95% of the audience has no idea what she’s singing or never even heard that gem.

Lmao what's hilarious about that is I was dating this guy in early 2018 and I played Dua all the time around him and he wasn't into it. After he broke up with me, he drunk texted me saying he listened to "Be The One" all the time and cried thinking about me
