Do you think Gaga from 2010 would like the Gaga from 2022?

She would 100% be proud of the success. 2010s Gaga set out to be a success and be remembered and that's what she's done. As to how she as a person has changed, it's tricky because I sense Gaga today is more cautious and sceptical with people (maybe because she has so many god damn fans!), so much so that I feel her answers in interviews are very templated now and most of us could predict what she'll say before she says it. She's less spontaneous - maybe because of everything she's been through both career-wise and in her personal life.

In short...mostly yes!

Like her. She barely knows her.

I think the 2010Ga would find 2022Ga a bit too radical. Gaga has always been vocal about kindness and love, but since 2020 Gaga has really embraced a radical concept of love - she has become strictly against violence as a means of revolution no matter what constructive cause the violence has (she stated time and again during BLM that violence shouldn't be a weapon for any change), she has become extremely empathetic to others' sufferings (I almost feel like a lot of her stress comes from absorbing the suffering she sees in others), and she has gone to extreme heights and depths for her art (preparing for Patrizia's role; drowning in the bathtub etc.). Back in 2010, she was starting anew and she did all of these things but it was mostly done without the wisdom that comes with age. One more thing that I personally feel is that Chromatica really shows her IN CONTROL of her emotions; songs like 911 and Replay are way too extreme and the way she has managed to sing them and fuse them with electronic music, I don't think 2010Ga had the creative ability or foresight to do so.

No because she hasn’t followed thru with many things she said up until that time.

What are you thinking about?

Her brain prob works like ours. She will be both very proud and astounded by 10GA for her resilience. 10GA would be in awe of 22GA's elegance and 'larger-than-life' image.

Both will however be very angry at each other for some of the choices made:awkney:

I don't know, but she would've definitely HATED 2020Ga with all the sponsorships and an abandoner album.

Every Gaga music video from 2008- disagrees

She’d definitely make an artistic criticism of 2020Ga becoming the Hollywood cosmetic surgery stereotype after leaving New York for Malibu, but at the same time look up to her ability to successfully crossover to acting and will to play the Oscars game for real as a serious contender.

I think she would be surprised, and wouldn't have expected herself to become the woman she is today. But Gaga has always been a very open minded person, so she would like the Gaga from today. Also it would probably be quite confronting to her to see 2022 Gaga, who has stripped herself of her past insecurities. 2010 Gaga wasn't ready to face the things about herself that 2022 Gaga has already faced and worked through. I think it'd be more of a shock than anything.

But I think it's the same for everyone. 2010 me wouldn't recognise 2022 me, and I'm not sure he would like me. But I like me now more than I liked him. I think a big realisation most people have when they become fully grown adults in their 30's is that noone stays the same forever. I know now that I might change in massive ways in the future, that current me might not relate to. But I now realise that that's okay, because that's life, and we are ever change and evolving at a steady rate

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

As I said, doing sponsorships to fund your art is very different than the cash grabs she did that year.

Obviously. 2010 Gaga would be very proud that 2022 Gaga is living her life and doing what she loves, despite her mental illness and fibromyalgia.

That she's trying in a small way to HELP erase the stigma of mental illness, talk about her psychotic break, support Youth Mental Health First Aid training, launch a free online mental health course, etc.

That she was finally able to talk about what happened to her when she was 19, on Howard Stern, and "The Me You Can't See."

2010 Gaga wrote the treatment for the Marry the Night music video, over a year before it was filmed in Oct 2011. She said at the time the hospital was a "women's clinic."

She's gone through some s***. She was bullied in school. She wrote Born This Way in 2010. She's always been compassionate, trying to help in her own way.

2010 Gaga would be very proud that 2022 Gaga is a professional actress, that she got to work with great actors like Al Pacino, follow in the footsteps of Judy Garland, who was in the 1954 version of ASIB.

Gaga was a theater kid. She had headshots done and was an extra on The Sopranos in 2001. She studied musical theater at NYU. It took 2 decades, but her dream came true.

She would be proud that she got to release 2 jazz albums with the legendary Tony Bennett. She started singing jazz at 13. Her parents love jazz!
