I also have two friends who are a teacher and a librarian. They BOTH say that if this passes they're quitting. One is either changing professions or moving, the other is retiring (she's in her 60s).

I can't imagine how this is going to affect the already high teacher shortage.

My teacher friend is LGBT and he says he wouldn't feel safe anymore and that just adds fuel to his leaving the profession.

Watch the US become a Handmaid's Tale level dystopian dictatorship led by religious fanatics within the next 15 years. It's really creeping me tf out.

They absolutely know, and it’s literally them saying: we don’t care and we’d rather have you converted or dead.

I watched a tidbit of a hearing over this bill and these people are absolute lunatics

Same people who talk so much about protecting human life, all of them are filth and I feel so bad for LGBT people who are already struggling mentally.

This is what happens when you have boomers and psychos leading a state.

I hope y’all realize the plan is to turn schools into culture war territories to erode education.

Conservatives thrive off the uneducated.

My parents are supportive of LGBT and I’m not even out to them. I have reasons, VALID reasons like my current life situation. Poor kids..

I don't understand, does the main US government not have any say in this? Like in the UK we have different counties but they still have to comply with our national equality laws?

America is such a nightmare of a country... so funny to think it was only a couple of decades ago that everyone still believed it was the best country in the world and now it's like Little Russia :partysick:
