I understand as a supermodel she's used to a different standard of beauty and it's tragic that the surgery went wrong but "brutally disfigured"? She just looks like an average BEAUTIFUL 50 year old woman now.

I see what she means – you can clearly see that she’s had surgery and that it altered her natural features in a recognizable way

Her face looks great, but if you read the article, she talks about how her reaction to the treatment has created protrusions (like the one below her armpit) that are completely numb to touch and are essentially hard. Her inner thighs will rub against each other and basically start bleeding and she won't notice because she won't feel pain.

Yeah I was surprised that this is her definition of "disfigured" i understand she was a model and maybe she thinks this is disfiguration but she looks very beautiful, it sounded a bit too dramatic to me, i expected real disfiguration

While she does look like your average 56 year old you have to think about who this person is - she is an iconic model, being used to looking a certain way and looking good being your actual proffession makes this a very different situation. Plus she has no control over this fat accumulation that is essentially ruining her carreer and status and everything. So yeah, she looks alright, bit it is expected that she look stunning and now she can't.

Well there's worse in life than not looking "stunning". I understand how horrible it must be to have fat hard balls on ur body and feel terrible about it, but to the point of isolating yourself for years and saying you are disfigured... There are other things in life than to look beautiful, as a woman maybe she thought it was her only value in life

Sorry but this is so pathetic. She looks like a normal 50 year old woman, better than most and yet she is acting like she is disfigured. Sorry but i have to laugh, the photoshoot acting like she is brave for showing her face, bitch you look normal :ladyhaha:

idk if i had plastic surgery and it went horribly wrong i cant imagine the embarrassment and shame id feel (although i don't personally think she needed to feel that way). and thats not even factoring in that she is one of the most iconic, recognizable and beautiful supermodels ever

I mean… Kinda not fair to other women who age gracefully and look like this and even worse in their 50 to call this a disfigured woman. I’m not for it at all. She looks stunning and she looks better than most of women her age. I can’t stand here and act as if this is right. Kudos to her for doing it even tho she feels like that I guess. I think this speaks volume about cosmetic procedures and how much of an unnecessary thing it is unless it’s used on people who went through traumatic experiences.

I think the disfigurement came from coolsculpting, a fat feezing procedure and was on a body part rather than face. This has really killed a lot of faith in the procedure, which is quite popular otherwise.

She's  still very beautiful, it's sad that she wanted to alter her appearance in the first place but with her being in the industry she's in there is always pressure.
