I mean, I love Gags tons, but she's just getting started at acting. Let's not lie to ourselves and believe that rain of awards has nothing to do with her established name. That plus a solid performance gives her an instant acclaim, but if it was another actress who people didn't know, they wouldn't be praising as much.

She just wants attention, little monsters on twitter need to learn when to ignore sh*t and not amplify it. If she just said she didn't care for Gaga, I wouldn't say it was an attention thing, but the hyperbolic nature of her tweet...it's for attention.

I mean, I get calmly calling people out if they are trying to push something truly harmful about Gaga (some outrageous lie, etc.) or if it's a misogynistic comment, but this sort of thing is just petty and screams "please ratio me so then I can cry about being harassed by stans". And no, I'm not justifying stan harassment-it's never okay-but some people purposefully try and get harassed by stans on twitter imo for attention.

I do think she'll continue to get multiple awards/nominations because there's a sensationalism that surrounds her but I don't quite see it even though I really want to.

I think everyone is entitled to an opinion, but it's also a bit silly to think the main cause of her nominations is down to Gaga being famous or sensationalism. If anything, she has a bit of a hurdle to overcome as people don't take her that seriously due to being a pop star...much like former teen idols have a hard time shaking it off. Obviously, actors who are POC have a much harder time. Point is it's fine if you don't get it, but objectively a large mass of industry people-people who aren't predisposed to like her because she's a pop star-clearly consider her a good actress.

I love Gaga, I do believe there were a couple of better performances this year, but I also think she was/is worthy of a nomination. There's always at least 5-10 fantastic performances, and Gaga is one of them.

Can’t believe someone is saying this on a Lady Gaga forum. Discrediting her hard work and calling it “sensationalism” is the same as people saying she’s not musically talented and only got famous because of her crazy outfits. Doesn’t get any lower than this lmao

The opposite I feel. I think she needed to be really really good to be taken seriously and even now some critics are trying to run a campaign to not get her nominated. I think people thinking these award nominations are easy to get must know nothing about the film industry. Sure theres name recognition but a lot of these are high brow prestigious awards. These are not the mtv movie awards. I wish people didn’t act like they are sooo easy to get. If they were then Beyoncé would be rolling in them as the media loves her way more than Gaga.

Must be hard watching a professional succeed at their craft when you failed on national TV doing yours.

Imagine being bitter about someone's success while doing nothing to have any of your own, and nobody disagreeing with your anti-climactic elimination from a reality TV show you had to audition for and sign your entire life away to get on.

Madonna was a bigger name than Gaga and yet she couldn’t break into Hollywood despite making 25+ movies with A list directors. It has nothing to do with being established.

People bigger than Gaga in the past have tried to venture into acting and were laughed out of Hollywood. Let's stop being delusional, ignorant fans, and downplaying her masterclass acting skills. Literally no other pop star "turned" actor has what Gaga has, NO ONE!!! The only one who comes close is Cher, but out the contemporaries? NOT A SINGLE SINGER has a gram of the acting talent Lady Gaga has. The sooner fans accept Gaga is a critically acclaimed actress and will have a long and successful career as an actress, the better off we'll all be.
