She said the show's not ready, it's not ready. It's her show! No other superstar would have the guts to cancel the ENTIRE 3-month residency the DAY before it started, and not for health reasons. (Did anyone complain when Celine postponed her residency and canceled her tour due to severe muscle spasms?? No.) It's not just the backlash... It's tens of MILLIONS in lost income! And since COVID is not covered by cancellation insurance, who's on the hook for MILLIONS of dollars already spent on sets, set design, etc.? Caesars Palace and Live Nation are reportedly trying to get her to reschedule ASAP. In fact, a few weeks ago, I used her as an example that it's perfectly fine to cancel shows at the last minute for health reasons. Nobody cares about ancient history. Either that, or a gig on The Voice! 🙂 Adele has said more than once she has stage fright and throws up before concerts. Some artists love to perform... but they're not doing $25 concerts either. It's a JOB for them! We shouldn't look down on female artists just because they want to make as much money as possible while they can. shawcrxss 129 Posted January 30, 2022 Share Posted January 30, 2022 this whole era been a mess compared to her usually perfect and polished routine she does every 5 years. it’s kinda like ARTPOP: universal critical acclaim and then sudden bad press and criticism which you can’t handle because it’s never really happened before. she kicked off the promo with snl but the album was delayed so she kinda came and fizzled out for a bit. then easy on me dropped which wasn’t anywhere as good as her other lead singles imo. then the album actually came with huge hype but was met with mixed reactions - i do like it, but it took me many listens to get into it and it’s still kinda boring to me. then the huge negative press from the hyde park event because of prices and stuff, now the vegas drama. even if your entire team has covid, you have emergency plans to deal with that kinda thing… if it’s because she wasn’t happy with the show - that a whole other mess cancelling last minute when some people were already in vegas to see you. nearly everything has been messy from the start and i don’t think she can handle the negativity well. i do hope she’s feeling okay and has the support she needs. it just doesn’t feel like she was in the right headspace to release an album and be back in the spotlight so soon after that huge divorce. i don’t speak german but i wish i could. I doubt her postponing/canceling things would have gotten this big of deal if it was pre Covid.
