Maybe it's different depending on which country where you live, but where I live I could easily get a fake vaccination card for free (if I wanted to - I DON'T). But still, there are lots of people here willing to pay money for fake vaccination card, while they could get convincing fake ones for free. It's truly is stupid. But obviously people shouldn't use fake vaccination cards under any circumstances. A lot of people who were selling them here in the US have been reported to the FBI. A good handful have been arrested.

I definitely agree that it's cool to have some skepticism and raise questions, after all science is not foolproof. But, at this juncture, the covid-19 vaccines have been proven to be safe and effective for the majority of people worldwide. The side-effects have not been severe in enough people for me to be concerned about having gotten my doses earlier this year. My only gripe is that we already need a booster shot after less than six months, since other vaccines require boosters once a year or less. You remind me that it's such a wonderful thing to love. The ones who are actual, legitimate nurses get them. Something like 90% I had seen somewhere. It's the others like nurses assistants and the like that are part of the health workers umbrella that are refusing it in significant numbers. Which when you factor in level of education essentially is what accounts for it.

It was developped really fast we might not know everything about it. + I remember when I got my first short, the nurse asked me if I ever developped a serious disease after getting a vaccine, if I ever developped allergies after a getting a vaccine, or if I ever had an allergic reaction to a vaccine. So there are definitely some risks with that... The science behind vaccines is literally centuries old and even mRNA vaccine science is as old as the 1970s. They've been studying the technology for use in other diseases like influenza, zika, and rabies. They actually developed an mRNA vaccine for ebola in 2013 (I think 2013) but because that disease mostly impacts African countries, no one in the western world, especially the US, would properly invest in it. Then covid came and became everyone's problem. So the skepticism and "fear" is really misplaced and rooted in ignorance tbh. Vaccines, including the covid vaccines, are safe for the vast majority of the population and that's an objective fact Any healthcare worker that loses their job because they're refusing to get jabbed honestly doesn't belong in the medical field anyway. It's like a carpenter who doesn't believe in nails or an astronaut who believes in a flat Earth. It's stupid. Whimsical bitch

Kitsch 499
If i remember correctly, a while ago someone taped like a piece of (chicken) meat on their arm and tried to get vaccinated. I mean, the lengths that people go through to get the vaccination card without getting vaccinated… I have been vaccinated since mid-2021 as I booked the appointments as soon as I could and someone at my work kind of asked me if he could use my QR-code to go clubbing. But at the same time, he literally told me that he wanted to get infected with COVID so he could get a certificate for recovering of COVID. I tried to talk some sense in him, that I think that it’s not a good idea to get infected with COVID in a country where the healthcare system is not particularly good, compared to our home countries, but it seemed like he genuinely wanted to get COVID. At one point, I decided to give up on him. If he decides to infect himself and thereby, endangering himself and others around him, then I can decide not to be befriended with him any longer. But it is a shame, because it feels like the whole pandemic has driven me apart with some people that I was genuinely good friends with, but their reckless behaviour, like partying with 30 people in a student house with no social distancing, and then getting COVID… it made me not want to hang out with them anymore. If they get COVID and they don’t hold themselves to the measurements, that’s on them. But I don’t want to be infected because of them. majkl > kitsch

It's funny because in Europe you need to be registered in the NHS as being vaccinated by a registered person working at a registered vaccination center. A fake card won't get you anywhere. What matters is your digital certificate with a QR code that they read with an official app. Although many places won't check if your certificate is actually legitimately from the app, or that it is even yours. I highly doubt healthcare places and flights are among these places. At least from my experience this has only happened in a couple restaurants, where they didn't bother to check if the certificate was actually mine. In flights and hospitals they triple check (sometimes even more). IDGAF

It was developped really fast we might not know everything about it. No and no. It wasn't developed really fast because they just mixed random things and decided they're effective. It was developed fast because most obstacles that face vaccine development were removed when financing and testing approvals were facilitated by those in power. We've been saying the same thing ever since the vaccines were announced months ago. Not the mention that mRNA vaccines have been under research and development for years and they're not exactly brand new innovation that they came up with last year. 19 hours ago, Lucas said: I remember when I got my first short, the nurse asked me if I ever developped a serious disease after getting a vaccine, if I ever developped allergies after a getting a vaccine, or if I ever had an allergic reaction to a vaccine. So there are definitely some risks with that... These is routine warnings that are asked by medical workers for any vaccines or pills prescription. Anytbing you consume could lead to side effects that can be serious. The point is that these instances are incredibly rare. You could get a serious disease from drinking a cup of water that happens to be contaminated with something that could harm your body. Do you just not drink water ever again? No. The same applies to basic pills like paracetamol or whatever. Literally everything around us could be harmful. When medical workers ask about these things, it's because they are preventable and because if you are not a person who can take the vaccine, they won't give it to you, or they'll make sure that if you have certain manageable allergies or whatever, they can follow up with you and make sure you're fine. It's literally so that you don't get scared, not the opposite. Soft, soothing, and succulent
