Ngl couldn’t recognize it was Ariana for a few secs, the eyes threw me off and the fact she’s so pale when it feels like she was tan af for the last few years. Oh well not for me to say if she’s appropriating or not but I’m pretty sure she doesn’t mean to offend but these days anything could be offensive.

lately there's something very uncanny about her makeup, i can't put my finger on it but it looks very strange, maybe they edit the pictures?

I noticed it as well, other than these particular pics from the Op, I'd say it has nothing to do with her makeup, I think it's her eyebrows mixed with her fillers

She allegedly got a ponytail facelift just like the one Bella Hadid had. It's made her eyes even smaller and horizontally long (might explain why people think she looks asian now) on top of the cat eye lift and her eyelids have practically disappeared.I don't know what it is with these celebs in their 20's getting this facelift for a more upswept look. Also her nose got a revision rhinoplasty allegedly. And also tons of weight loss. I mean she looks amazing but she definitely isn't looking like herself anymore and is heading into the uncanny valley just like Bella. This is just my opinion of course but it's pretty obvious she's had more surgery. Eye shapes and noses dont get smaller by themselves.

Lorry Hill did a video on YouTube explaining what she got done allegedly for anyone that's interested and I think she's pretty spot on.

I mean...

This is a really big conversation to have, so I'll try to make this as short as possible. Do I think Ariana wants to look/be an Asian woman? No. I do think she's aware of how she looks though. Makeup should not transform you from one race to the other. In pop culture and media, embracing your race/ethnicity culture today (after years and years of either oppression or self-hate as a result of media perpetuating white-is-right) is the new 'it' thing. It's a very much welcomed renaissance where all the people who felt like minorities or rejected get to fully embrace their authentic selves and express themselves as such in all forms of media and expression (art, music, poetry, film).

A lot of white celebrities are opting for the racially ambiguous look to blend in because being white is not 'cool' or 'in' anymore as far as Hollywood is concerned. The Kardashians are the most obvious example. Do I think they want to be Black women? No. However, the extreme tans, the ass and lip injections, the textured hair, the obsession with black men and black culture tells you otherwise. Ariana is on the same boat. It's not to look like an Asian woman or appropriate, but she has no issues looking racially ambiguous and if anything is brought up then oh it's makeup, filters and angles.

After years of being told they are superior, I'd expect white celebrities to have no issues embracing themselves for who they are and what they look like. Funny how after the tables turn and being a minority is no longer just being a stereotype, they want in now. I have to laugh.

Love how people these days have time to point out things like this instead of focussing on the bigger picture and its faults or just help hummanity.

REALITY

As an Asian…I don’t think she’s trying to “look Asian” here…is that wrong of me to say? Will I get cancelled? Lol

The flash makes her skin look lighter, and nothing in the make-up looks like she’s trying to “look/be Asian.” I guess her eyeliner is making her eyes look smaller?? But I feel like people are stretching.

there is no way that ariana grande who is known for her belting/singing/etc got a nose job. good lord i wish people would mind their own business when it comes to a woman’s appearance. especially men.
