Is that even gonna make a huge difference?

 

If the vaccine still works on omicron then 2 shots is already plenty of protection unless ur last shot was a while ago or ur one of the few ppl those immunity problems where u need a 3rd shot to get full protection

 

If omicron evades the vaccine then a further boost on antibodies that dont work isnt gonna do much either anyway

 

I get reluctant with the 3rd booster idea being thrown around too loosely cuz i feel like by the time they give it out in my country for general population the shot is gonna be so outdated with variants they are gonna ask for a 4th shot right after

 

I dont wanna keep pumping shots into my blood every 5 or 6 months

How is it possible that 65(!!!) passengers out of 600 were aboard an airplane? Did they all get a fake PCR test? This is also on the Netherlands, which has not had mandatory quarantine thus far and has very lax rules regarding testing upon arrival (also non-mandatory I believe). The Netherlands was already close to a total lockdown (another thing that the government has refused to do so far - instead, their misplaced arrogance makes them opt for an 'intelligent lockdown' - apparently, all other countries are stupid) but this variant, if as bad as thought, will put it in total lockdown.

I suppose it all depends on if Omicron can out compete Delta and how effective the vaccines are against it. I guess we'll know for sure in about 2 weeks

When even vaccinated people can carry and pass on Covid, new variants will constantly be produced.  The only way to stop such would be for vaccines to totally prevent infection.  Hopefully our vaccines continue to be highly effective against serious illness/death. Yeah the variant has already been comfirmed here in more than 1 Province. No one should be surprised

 

U never catch a new variant on the first patient unless u had a big stroke of luck by fluke. By time a new one is identified like hundreds or thousands of people already have it and garanteed it already spread beyond borders

What we need to know is if Omicron is weaker than delta, even if it spreads more, if it's weaker then that's good news
