The Worst Witch is a series of children's books written and illustrated by Jill Murphy. The series are primarily about a girl who attends a witch school and fantasy stories, with eight books published. Curently there are 8 books. The first one was published in 1974 and the last one in 2018. Sadly Jill Murphy passed away this year. Her books have also been adapted for television and stage.
