Abba singer Anni-Frid Lyngstad has said "don't be too sure" that their comeback album Voyage is their last, in her first interview about the reunion.

The Swedish superstars released the LP, their first for 40 years, on Friday.

"I have learned to say never to say never," she told BBC Radio 2's Zoe Ball about the prospect of future projects.

Lyngstad said going back into the studio with bandmate Agnetha Fältskog felt like "coming back home again, having fun with my little sister".

The album received mixed reviews from critics but is set to go to number one in the UK on Friday.

It is on course to be the fastest-selling album of the year so far and outsold the rest of the top 40 combined in its first two days of release, according to the Official Charts Company.

Fame IV

Voyage is already an iconic album. I am so happy they did this record together. The girls voices are good as ever and the songwriting is fenomenal. Only ABBA can write an hit song about a child's custody!

Also, they deserve all the sucess. Their songs will be listened forever and touch millions of lives. That's the best critic. Obsessed with "Keep an Eye on Dan", "I Can be that woman" and "Don't shut me down".

I've really been enjoying the album so far. Some of the tracks aren't for me, but "Just a Notion," "Don't Shut Me Down" and "No Doubt About It" were instant favorites.

I think some people may have suffered from unrealistic expectations (both in terms of how amazing the songs would be, and how well the album would chart) given ABBA has been mostly out of the public eye for several decades now. I don't follow charts that closely but it's nice to see it's selling fairly well and that people are happy they're back, cuz I sure am!

In Europe it is an absolute hit (UK, for example). ABBA are admired worldwide.

If it’s going to be like Voyage, I’d pass on that. I was whelmed  :noparty:

Well, people were expecting an album full of Dancing Queen or uptempo songs, people need to understand they are 70+ years old and Björn was right when he said this albums was the follow up to The Visitors.

This ain't a Madonna situation where she can jump between what's popular, they rather be true to themself.

Love them. Ace of Base take notes. They’re another Swedish sensation that needs to reunite.

I'm sure other members would be down especially ulf and Jonas, they keep releasing albums of unreleased ace of base songs  but malin has been completely out of the public eye for years without any trace so I doubt she's changed her mind about hating fame

I wasn't necessarily looking for club bangers but more "Don't Shute Me Down" and less choral chanting

No need to bring Madonna into this

I don’t think they’re going to record new music anytime soon, but they can finally open the vault and give us all the rarities we’re longing to hear in full since ever (like “just like that “, and in general all the songs in abba Undeleted…), I’m sure they have material enough for at least another album

Ps: voyage is so addictive, can’t stop listening to it

Yeah after 20 years at this point I doubt she’s be interested in showing up anywhere publicly.
