Just had the privilege of seeing it early at a screening tonight and was shocked at how well the film flows throughout the over 2 and half hours. House of Gucci was engaging, hilarious, and endlessly rewatchable. Gaga drives the entire film with such a complex, well-developed persona, but Pacino and Leto are also absolutely mesmerizing. I absolutely loved Gaga’s role in A Star Is Born, but she is nearly unrecognizable and so much more versatile in this film. The looks, the one liners, and the pure grit she shows throughout the film are truly impressive. I can’t wait for this film to be released fully. People need to see how talented Gaga really is—and the whole cast is. Just an incredible ride.

sisters I saw it!!! firstly, the cast is absolutely insane. not a bad performance in it. period. the movie overall is too long, and there isn’t enough Gaga in the last 30 minutes tbh. my biggest gripe is the editing - so many moments where I kind of wish they let certain lines and actions resonate, but they cut super quick and move onto the next thing. all in all it’s a 3.5/5 for me. But forreal the good sis Stefania absolutely AAAAATTTTEEE. She does crazy really really really well

Thanks for the tea! Yeah, the critics seem to be saying the last 1/4 needed more of Gag too.

So all the reactions who were griping with the extra 20-30 mins was because Miss L. Gaga wasn't in them. :emma:

Does the movie end well? Like is it satisfactory enough? And does it have rewatch-ability?

I'm not very good with Social Mediaᵀᴹ

Yes, I have already scheduled a second viewing tomorrow, a third viewing next Wednesday, and a fourth viewing for Thanksgiving dinner instead of turkey :ohwell:

and yes I enjoyed the ending

My good sis, I'm glad you are seeing it once again when it officially opens so it counts towards the box office.

I say this not just as a Gaga stan, but a movie lover...we need more R rated films like this to succeed so it's not all comic book adaptions, animated films, or the 900th remake of some film (and I do like some Marvel movies, but I want more original sh*t or movies based off true stories). Apparently-and I'm not namechecking the guy as he's someone fans have harassed-the film is allegedly on track to have the 2nd biggest box office opening for an R rated film over Thanksgiving weekend. Considering ASIB exceeding expectations, I wouldn't be shocked if Gucci had the biggest opening despite the pandemic.
