Travis Scott to refund all Astroworld attendees, cancels Day N Vegas Fest

Travis Scott has reportedly dropped out of a scheduled headlining slot at this weekend's Day N Vegas Festival following the deadly tragedy at his Astroworld Festival in Houston on Friday. According to Variety, Scott will not perform as expected on Saturday (Nov. 13) at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, which would have had him taking the stage one week after eight attendees died and hundreds were injured at Astroworld during a crowd surge.

What about the funerals of the people who were walked on and suffocated, with CPR done while you performed and watched and said "who said I should stop?" and continued performing. What about paying for every single cost of these lives lost because of your disgusting ego and lack of empathy. What about criminal charges for the staff who saw and didn't help people in danger? And what about the festival and whoever organized it that didn't make sure the venue was safe and sold more tickets than it was capable of welcoming? Refund is nothing.

I heard that a stage rush is part of his act and he encourages it.  Is that true?  If so imo he should be charged with criminally negligent homicide.   He didn't intend to kill people but he was responsible for their deaths.

 in 2017 he was arrested and charged for inviting fans to bypass security and rush the stage

in 2015, he was charged with disorderly conduct at Lollapalooza Festival

Thanks.  After being charged with crimes in 2015 and 2017 he should certainly be aware that such actions aren't legal.  If he is charged this time I think his prior knowledge of illegality will increase his penalty.

It's called mosh pit, where they, well, moshing, and where things called "wall of death" usually happen, the culture is from metal concerts. But Travis certainly did it wrong since it is very rare for such fatality happened in metal shows.

 

 

 

And the bands would always quickly stopped it when something happen, unlike Travis.

Moshing at these shows is not deadly because there's enough room to safely leave when you're done, or avoid it altogether.

You also don't have the pressure from an entire crowd pressing in the same direction at the same time.

What happened at Astroworld is completely different than normal mosh pits.

From I witnessed it is on him for asking people to come into the pit when it is already overcrowded. That is unsafe. Metal band members, mainly the vocalist would ask the fans to back down for elbow room when it gets that chaotic.
