Some artists keep trying to capture their old flame and trying to recreate their old music to no avail. Not Ms Ross. She’s effectively captured that flame we all remember, but doing so by actually moving forward with her music organically. It’s so good! And everything is so positive! Some songs may be heavy on sentiment, but everything has a great, positive message! This is the album I didn’t even know I needed! There is a nice blend of ballads, uptempo bops, and contemporary songs with that throwback sound. Highlights: Tomorrow: The high energy anthem about changing the world together. I love it. So dancy! My favorite on the album. Thank You: I love this song, but even better than the album cut is the Jax Jones remix!! Let’s Do It: Smooth uptempo jam. Gives me Sade vibes. Remember that song “In Common” by Alicia Keys and Kaskade? This is giving me those vibes and I’m living. All Is Well: Another modern throwback.
