this is a very good light voice with power. As oposed to jennifer hudson for ex, chaka khan, Patti lupone ( kind of even different fach)

Theres such ephalbas that arent much of belters but more mixed voice, but the role def asks for that kind of more belt than twang kind of placement. Ofc shes Great and its about how she interprets it

Ariana just...doesn't do it for me. Like she has what it takes: talent, voice, drive, fanbase and experience - but she always comes across as disingenuous to me.

I don't know anything about Cynthia, so I have no expectations.

From what I've seen Ariana isn't a bad actress but she isn't great either. I've only seen her play Cat (which she did way better than I feel like most people give her credit for) and little bits of Scream Queens which made cringe. So I think it depends on the character and the script.
