Lana Del Rey sets new record for most No 1 Alternative Albums

According to Pitchfork, Lana Del Rey has set a new record today as the artist with the most No. 1 albums on Billboard’s Alternative Albums chart, Billboard reports. Her new album Blue Banisters is her sixth to achieve that chart position.

Blue Banisters is Del Rey’s second album to achieve that top spot this year after her March release Chemtrails Over the Country Club.

She makes pop music. It may be adult contemporary pop, but still pop. Billboard has Billie on this list too so I guess it depends on who you ask. 

But I would consider Beck, The Killers, Muse, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Radiohead are alternative. Not the good sis Lana 

EDIT: I say this as a fan since her debut. Nothing wrong with being pop.
