LastNight 5,935 Posted November 3, 2021 Share Posted November 3, 2021 It's probably a very deliberate choice on the Gucci brand/lead designer's part not to dress Gaga for the magazine shoot and potentially not for premieres and interviews (although we'll have to wait and see about that). Design houses can be very fickle and it's possible the brand doesn't want to associate it's current aesthetic with it's former one; so while they might happily loan out archive pieces and help promote the movie, it's all in the context of the Gucci heritage - but when it comes to selling their current clothes and marketing the modern incarnation of the brand they could very well want to keep things separate. I could see Gucci creating something custom or taking out an archive piece for her for the Oscars though, but I wouldn't be shocked if there's no Gucci pieces in the promo period. They wouldn't want to make it too obvious to the point of beverage tacky? Just a thot.
