French Montana says Akon gifted him a fake watch

During a recent interview, French Montana revealed that Akon gifted him with a Hublot watch for his birthday one year. However, he later found out that it was counterfeit when he took it to his jeweler to get “iced out.”

“He had given me a Hublot so it wasn’t iced out,” said Montana. “And you know, I like sh*t with diamond son it, so I took it to my jeweler. I was like, ‘Yo, can you switch this for me? Akon gave it to me for my birthday.’ He looked at me and was like, ‘What you mean? Akon did not give you this, my guy.'”
He called up Akon and informed him that the watch was fake, much to his surprise. “He was like, ‘What? Let me call the jeweler that gave me that ****,'” French said.

French is still waiting for the real watch.

Why do ppl always gotta do this? He wasnt complaining or acting like it was a sob story or looking for sympathy. He was just telling a god dam story

 

Its like successful ppl arent even allowed to tell stories of something that happened because someones always gotta do the whole "boohoo" comment.

 

Just because u tell a story doesnt mean ur somehow suggesting that issue is so much bigger than everyone elses and that you gotta be centre of attention and ppl gotta feel sorry for you

I would love to meet Akon one day, He literally was the first English artist I began listening to when i made it to boston. Before I even knew who gaga was i was performing his song at school talent shows.

I think it's disgusting that a real jeweler sold Akon a fake watch. It's fraud.

If some GGD member made stupid comments about the poor for example id just as easily defend them also

 

But on GGD ppl dont generally biasly attack underdogs for no reason (with the occasional exeption as theres always exeptions). And as a result theres no need to defend an issue that isnt there to begin with but when it does happen id defend them just the same

The guy wasnt asking for sympathy or suggesting it was a big problem. The ppl making the comments are the ones that created that notion and made up a comparison he never suggested in the first place

I'm not starting some narrative, you literally do that. The responses are also way more nuanced than people illogically coming for a rich person so don't give me that. Akon has made his little "poor is better" bed and yet tries to live like this. That is illogical. You're like the worst player of Devil's Advocate at this point.
