I think if any of the other mpgs would have paired up with Dom Pérignon, Tatler would have proclaimed that person as the Queen of Pop. It's a catchy way to refer to it. Lady Gaga will forever and always be my number one, and I’m not even a big or moderate fan of Madonna, but as Madonna is alive she’ll always be the Queen of Pop and has earned that status. Gaga herself said she doesn’t care about the title before. Madonna is alive for now and she was the first original pop artist which many considered the Queen and she took it and went with it. So many people making great pop music still. I'm glad Gaga is getting praise but she doesn't need those specific words to show her pedigree.
