Jill 31,812
Just now, Jewels n Drugs said: what about the homeless people we have on our own streets There are like 500 billionaires who have the money to end their misery (by giving them money, not killing them I mean) like three times over. Why don't you ask them instead? This is a good gesture, despite it being obviously a marketing ploy, so these kind of complaints don't help the cause at all. Former First Lady of the United States. Obviously homelessness is a problem, but as Jill said, tell that to the wealthy elite in your country who don’t pay their fair share of taxes - not companies who are just trying to do a good thing. 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111

REALITY 80,247
I find it hilarious when people use the "what about..." argument. Like, yes, homelessness in our country is a problem, but that doesn't mean that we can't help out 20,000 Afghans. Just because one group of people have it bad doesn't mean that we should let two groups of people have it bad. 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔯 𝔱𝔬𝔯𝔢 𝔞𝔴𝔞𝔶 𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔪𝔞𝔰𝔨 𝔞𝔫𝔡...𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔣𝔞𝔠𝔢 𝔴𝔞𝔰 𝔪𝔦𝔫𝔢. As I understood from reading the thread, the home owners are the ones offering the space to do this. Maybe Airbnb is paying them to do so or something. Former First Lady of the United States. Homelessness is a government choice. I know people’s minds melt when you say everyone should be housed bc it’s a human right (don’t get why), but if anything, Homeless Vets are some of the most deserving. It’s the bare minimum tbh… But yeah this isn’t really related to the original topic. Regardless of motive, BnB really did that
