wonder why gaga didn’t get this backlash when she wore the necklace...but i’m kinda glad she did bc now the little monsters who seek any reason to tear beyonce down have to find something else to cry about.

also, i get people’s concern with the diamond being mined by slave labor in africa, but what, besides the price, is significant about it? aren't all diamonds collected through similar means, with many coming from third world countries? no one complains about typical diamond wedding bands, so what’s special about this one?

as for the basquiat, it doesn’t even belong to the carter’s. and basquiat has been long dead, so i have no concern for how he would’ve wanted his art displayed. it’s irrelevant at this point. it belongs to tiffany’s collection now, and i guess they felt the same way.

YES EXACTLY THIS, like why the **** are they dragging this woman for wearing the exact same diamond that gaga wore for the exact same company for another ad campaign, i get the basquiat stuff but the diamond? bitch please

So only 4 women have worn it but two of them wore it in the last decade? Lmao in 10 years time we'll be celebrating the hundredth woman to wear it

I think the diamond's history is only recently discovered or something

it wouldnt be surprising tbh alot of artists are anti capitalist

What do you mean by alot? People like getting paid for their hard work and creativity. Are they supposed to live on a commune?

Are you really saying that we didn't know in 2019 that diamonds were mined by slaves.

Please girl. It's embarrassing.

Did people think Queen Victoria herself dug it out of the ground in South Africa?

But she did invent Black Is King so why wouldn't she wear a diamond fit for a queen.
