She performed at the VMAs 2 years ago and literally dipped until recently and still hasnt performed her new song which is kind of old now tbh. I feel like this girl is so overhyped. Do we need a dark skinned pop star for diversity? Sure. But she aint it.

She’s so desperate to be “iconic,” and I get it - everybody wants to be remembered as a part of music history and to be an influence to future generations.

But it needs to happen organically, and she can not be forcing it.

Wild Side did not make the splash she was hoping for tbh. 

I hope her next project is something that will set her apart from everyone else.

I am.  Saw her live.  She is so talented and is such a nice person.  I wish her all the best.

There's no denying she can sing and dance well but she needs to show MORE. We only have 2 solo songs from her, great songs too, and a few features but that's it. She needs to start working on an album to give us what she is and what she can offer. Maybe it's just from the threads being made about her here, but she feels like she is an icon already.
