But what people wanna hear and see is Gaga standing up for Britney publicly. Especially she is very high profile right now, it will bring a lots more attention and pressure for people involved to actually #FreeBritney. My first thought is that Gaga (knowing what a prison fame can become) wants to give Britney the privacy that she deserves. I'm sure she hopes nothing but the best for Britney and she's a big fan of Brit herself, but that doesn't mean she's obligated as a celebrity to speak up about it... Also Gaga's latest focus that people seem to forget about is Unlearning. Based on her conversation with Dr. Bernice King she has many philanthropic efforts and while Britney's circumstances are still important, it's a kind of an issue that white people feel they need to "keep up with", and maybe Gaga has chosen to separate herself from that ideal, and focus on helping other groups that deserve attention too. Another thing could be her fibromyalgia. She just shot a movie playing a murderer, went through personal traumatic stress with her dogs being stolen, and she is probably emotional about Tony, his alzheimers, the album and remix album coming out, and his last few shows. Mama probably needs a rest, she works hard on music, movies, philanthropy and Haus Labs, she is going back to Vegas soon and Britney (while I'm sure she still cares) is probably one of the last things on her mind.
