The real reason is that CDs with jewel cases and the disc often end up in landfills, I think she did an interview or wrote it on her website. Vinyls are more often bought as collectibles, especially given they are more expensive, and are less likely to be thrown away and end up in landfills, more likely to be resold to other fans, etc. So it's more about making sure the items don't end up thrown up because a CD is considered cheap and easily disposable whereas a vinyl is considered to be more long-lasting and collectible. Also Vinyl packaging is less bad for the environment than CD plastic cases, but the vinyl disc itself is probably not that great haha.
