Do you manage to dissociate LG from her roles?

I think there was a thread like this by the time ASIB was released. 

Here it's different 'cause we've only seen the trailer from HOG, but it adds up to all the roles she had in the past 

So, do you -still/still not- manage to dissociate Lady Gaga from her roles?

Do you mean it in the way that when I watch a movie that I "forget" that she's LG and totally see her as the character she plays?

 

Yes, for me in ASIB she was Ally and I forgot that she jumps around in funny costumes or half naked when she's performing her songs.

And I'm sure she plays Lady Gucci so well that I will love to hate her character in the movie, because she's such a good actress.

Nope... Lol in asib and hotel I only saw Gaga. I'm sure the same will happen with Gucci. Can't help it

AHS Hotel was basically Gaga as a vampire lol so no, not in this case

But AHS Roanoke, ASIB and (presumably) Gucci the character is different enough that I can suspend disbelief enough while watching to really believe the character (vs. Gaga)

i remember in the movie theater i managed to separate her and Ally to an extent, but at some scenes it'd hit me that it was her and I'd get so proud and emotional.

It's funny because as opposed to what others said, I saw her less like gaga when she did hotel because of her role I guess 

ASIB is another story tho

I think HOG will be easier to dissociate based on the story and character

It's funny 'cause when I saw the trailers for the first time, I saw and heard Gaga (I'm biased, I'm a fan).

But then I started to separate the character from the actor (Gaga). When I saw A Star Is Born, I was able to see Ally and not think about LG. Until she sang Shallow, and then Gaga was back
