Gaga is literally notorious to non fans for wearing the meat dress and everyone, even my Grandma calls her the “weird meat dress lady” it was a gag for all the monsters but the gp is scarred and almost refuses to think of her than anything else but “the meat dress weirdo” up until ASIB. I think it directly led to the ARTPOP situation. But again, that doesn't make it a mistake. Artists shouldn't be scared to take risks, and it's all worked out on a longer timeline.
