The Church is the one claiming homosexuality is unnatural, not the religion itself.

i'm tired of this argument, the bible says in a dozens of ways how homosexuality is unnatural, abomination and a sin, in the old and new testament by paul the apostle, faith is bound in religion, religion is bound to the bible and the bible is bound to the church, it was the orthodox church that decided what's in and what's out the bible in early Christianity.

But, to be fair, JC never did say a word about homosexuality, the other prophets did, but certainly not him. And only JC's words should be taken into account by the Church. After all, they're called CHRISTians.

Lol it's obvious you're not Christian. It's called Christianism because we believe Jesus to be the Son of God, not because we believe him to be the only one who should be taken into account. We have him, we have the disciples, we have the Virgin Mary, we have all of the saints. The Christian "lore" runs deep. Theology is a branch of philosophy and the majority of Church policies are based (supposedly) on theological arguments. But things like homosexuality and abortion are obviously just consequences of the Church being ultra-conservative, something that me and other have always been against, and something that is also the reason why there's such a problem with sexual abuse within the Church. It's horrible and it leaves you helpless, but there's an argument to be made that if you want to follow your faith and change things from within, then you can become a priest or something, idk. Not what I would choose but nothing I would hold against anybody. It's obvious this person meant well and it's obvious there's nothing wrong with him. The one who is wrong here is the Church and its old ways of thinking.

The Bible is a scripture made by men. Some Christians may say it was inspired by the word of God or something but reality is it was made by men, and it is a product of the period it was made in. I think it's bonkers to look for an entire ideology applicable to modern problems in a book that is obviously not made to be used like that. I believe in the faith of Christianity, but I disagree with the Church on countless issues. If I can separate the two and make it make sense, then obviously faith =/= Church.

if it wasn't for the scriptures the concept of faith wouldn't even be the same, weather you like it or not, the church is bound to religion and faith, language creates reality and hence the reality we are living now, modern christianism should've to admit that their religion is rooted in sexism and homophobia and try to reject it from the scriptures.

Church may be bound to religion and faith, but faith can be independent from the Church. Modern Christianism IS rooted on sexism and homophobia, but my point is that it doesn't have to be - there are alternatives. But the dogma of the Church is something completely different from the faith itself. It's an interpretation of the faith that is modified by extreme conservatism. Proof of this not being the only way is countless of Christian branches that are not as actively homophobic as the Catholic Church, for example.

Wait a second. This is the same guy who led the effort to deny Biden the communion. I take back everything I've said. What a hypocritical piece of sh!t.
