Rio was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Now the only cities that are being chosen are wealthy ones that think they can pull them off without going severely in debt. I don’t think Paris will be able to do that but Los Angeles might. Presumably Brisbane has also laid out a plan that won’t be as expensive as past games. Well, Jakarta (Indonesia), Ahmedabad (India), Doha (Qatar), Greater Dusseldorf (Germany), Madrid (Spain) are the other candidates.
